New vending machine/ nieuw automaat

This is new type of vending machine. All types of drinks inside the machine are displayed on liquid crystal display.

If you choose one of them, only the drink is displayed. And then, you insert coin, if you want to buy.

Japanese spirit?/ Japans geest

This is a part of wall. The constructor might think to preserve this tree. So, The space was skipped. But unfortunately the tree died.

This is a camera shop. Left clock is "now" and right one show you when your photo will be finished

to develop. The cat statue is a typical statue in Japan. Cats are considered to invite people and fortune into shops, therefore a cat statue have one paw raised to beckon them inside.

You can find out this sign in each metro-station. This sign show you the place  where each car of metro train stops in each station. So, if you check it before you ride on a train, when you get off a train, you can approach an exit of a station more immediately.

Door on platform/Deur op spoor

This is "Platform door".

Usually, it prevents you from falling down to the train railway. When a train comes into a station and stop the correct place, a door will open for users. This system can reduce one conductor who checks and controls train's door.

The busiest intersection/Het drukste kruispunt

This is in front of Shibuya station. It is one of the busiest intersection in Japan. You can watch TV programmes with 3 displays!

This is one of the gates in Shibuya station. For all time,  it is very busy.

Advertisement lighting / Advertentie Verlichting

This is one of the streets in Ueno, Tokyo at night. 

There are few general lighting poles. However, it is still bright because of advertisement lighting. Each restaurants or shops equips them by different ways.

Udon

It was the first Japanese food after I went back to Japan.

This is Udon restaurant. You order what kinds of Udon (cold or hot with something) to a cooker.

This is "oroshi Udon" and "Tenpura". When you eat Udon, you dip Udon in Soy-FIsh cold soup

 and then eat.
